This week's challenge at Just Buggin' is "all about pets", that is how I got the idea.
Carts and dial sizes:
Pagoda: center fish at 2.75
Animal Kingdom: Bowls + water at 3.25, SplishSplash at 1
Everyday Paper Dolls: left fish at 3 and right fish at 2.5
no Design Studio was harmed in the making of this card ;)
The water layers on the bowls were cut from transparency, then colored with copics and adhered over the lower bowl layer and fish with dots of clear glue which was supposed to look a bit like water bubbles:
The bottom black is glitter card stock that has got to be just as messy as real black gravel.... Amazing how hard it is to purposely sew wavy lines with the machine! Both cards from today fit in a regular size 10 business envelope.
Oh Pooh!

All items were cut at 5 inch size! I used the Pooh Font set cart to make the letter pages(marker, shadow), the Pooh and Friends set for the bear on the last page and the Everyday Paperdolls for the girl on the first page.
All papers were from different stacks of DCVW plus some plain colored card stock. Did some hand doodling on the letters just for fun!
I did not use any extra embellishments on the pages. This is for a small child after all. If it were a book for a grandma or such, I would have made heavy use of extra flowers and ribbon
I really do like the font options on the Pooh Font cartridge, the marker and wood option are perfect for WordBooks!
If you would like to learn how to make your own word books, I can highly recommend Diane and Jen's class on word books at Let me Show you How to Do That blog . I took their class and it was so worth it and fun.
I am entering this in the current challenge over at Just Buggin'. The theme is to make a present for someone you love ![]()
While I did the tiny title inside the first page I thought maybe a beginner won't know how to do a nice shadow on a word once they have welded it in Design Studio. So that will be my next small lesson here, come back soon ![]()
